We’ve had a bumper 12 months at willowlamp. We started the year strong with our first-ever stand at the renowned Salone del Mobile in Milan – one of the world’s most highly regarded furniture and design fairs. This annual event brings aficionados and enthusiasts to the city in their droves and we were very excited to be able to participate and engage with the international design community and be inspired by other exhibitors at the show. Upon our return, we launched into a busy period with some large-scale custom projects, which saw our entire team pitching in to create monumental pieces for special spaces. We relish the challenge of making a client’s lighting dreams come true and these commissions were a definite highlight of our year. We also marked how far we’ve come since we first started with a retrospective exhibition, which saw us collate archival and classic sample pieces in one space to celebrate our design scope. Part of this event included offering these sample pieces to our customers at special rates – a way to say thank you for more than a decade of doing what we love.
[d]arc awards 2019
Every year, independent lighting designers, interior designers, architects and product designers are invited to vote on their favourite projects and products via the [d]arc awards / decorative website. We are thrilled to announce that our Giant Fuchsia placed 3rd in the Bespoke Installation category and our Halo placed 3rd in the Best Architectural Lighting products category.
Watch this space – next year will see the launch of brand-new designs from our studio. Founder and creative director Adam Hoets is hard at work conceptualising and trialling new creations to expand the willowlamp universe. You can expect a range of new silhouettes in our 2020 collection, from our signature chandelier to more compact wall-mounted lights and exciting art pieces. Hoets is busy working on prototypes and refining the concepts for both the Radial and Cocoon, in order to debut these new designs in the coming months…
willowlamp wishes to thank its loyal clientele for their continued support over the past year – whether ordering a special custom design for your home or project or sharing an image with us of a prized piece and the happiness it brings. We wish you all a joyful and restful festive season, and look forward to working with you again in the new year. Our factory and studio will be closed from Thursday 19 December until Monday 13 January 2020.
